A short history of Aqualife...
Aqualife Services Limited was founded in November 1996 on the beautiful Island of Skye, starting life as Skye Vaccination. The company grew quickly, from vaccinating 3 million salmon parr in its first year to 24 million by 2001.
In 2000 the company changed its name to Aqualife Services and has continued to grow ever since. As the first company to offer a dedicated vaccination service, demand in Scotland was intense and Aqualife services quickly became established.
Breaking into the Norwegian market
As the company continued to develop, the next opportunity for growth was to break into the significant Norwegian fish farming market. Since 2001 Aqualife Services has become established in Norway with our own office, local teams and a position as the market leaders. Over the last few years we have set the standards for fish health in the area and met the challenge of double vaccinating for pancreatic disease.
Expanding into Europe
Aqualife Services is now at the point of exploring new opportunities in other parts of Europe and further afield. Already we have carried out fish vaccinations in France, Ireland and the Faroes. We are committed to finding new markets and sharing our experience wherever fish farming is practiced in the world, working to improve standards of fish health and welfare wherever we become involved.
